Seoul Guide

At the last step of your Night Time routine, apply a moderate amount and spread across face. Gently pat in with fingertips. Vitamin A products can be drying, so if you experience dryness, apply another moisturiser or oil on top of the vitamin A cream.

Actives should ideally be used as often as possible for the best results. However if you have sensitive skin or have never used a vitamin A/retinol products before, you should start off slow and shouldn’t force yourself to use this product every single night. Pay attention to your skin and take notice if it starts acting up. If you can tolerate the product, then you can increase how often you use it (again use your own discretion).

Use a hyaluronic acid serum before you apply the vitamin A moisturiser for even better anti-ageing effects and to combat the drying effect of vitamin A.

Tips for the perfect Vitamin A routine

Vitamin A: Increases the rate of skin cell turnover, helps to smooth lines and wrinkles, and increases skin elasticity

Vitamin B: Niacinamide (Vitmain B3) fades dark spots, fight acne, soothes irritation and redness, inhibits excess sebum production, and increases skin barrier function

Vitamin C: Helps fight skin damage caused by sun, promotes collagen production, reduces the look of fine lines, and brightens the complexion

How to incorporate them in your skincare routine?

🔸️Vitamin A + Vitamin B3

Incorporating Niacinamide before or after vitamin A product can increase the skin’s tolerance towards vitamin A and reduce the chances of irritation. You can apply niacinamide before vitamin A if using a niacinamide serum but it would be better to apply a niacinamide-based moisturizer after vitamin A.

🔸️Vitamin A + Vitamin C

Vitamin C products are formulated to be at a low pH of 3.5, while vitamin A works best at pH of 5.5-6. You can apply them at different times of day (e.g. Vitamin C in the morning, Vitamin A at night) or you can apply vitamin C and Vitamin A on alternate nights.

🔸️Vitamin B3 + Vitamin C

Vitamin C and niacinamide are safe to layer because they react negatively to one another only under extreme conditions. They can be used together but if your skin is sensitive and if you worry about niacin flush, you can apply them on alternate days or you can apply them at different times of day. If your skin isn’t particularly sensitive, you can use them together.
